    On October 26, the reporter learned from China Coal Science and Industry Group Xi’an Research Institute Co.


    The appraisal committee headed by Zhou Xinquan, a senior expert in the field of coal mine gas prevention and control and a professor at the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), believes that this technological achievement has created a comb-shaped drill hole hydraulic fracturing model for high-efficiency gas drainage in the roof of a thick coal seam with broken soft low permeability and outburst.


    The relevant person in charge of the Institute of Coal Geology and Gas Prevention and Control Technology of China Coal Science and Industry Xi'an Research Institute introduced that the Hancheng mining area is a typical coal and gas outburst mining area with serious gas disasters.


    In recent years, based on the demand for advanced prevention and control of gas in broken-soft and low-permeability coal seams, they have jointly carried out research and tackling key problems with the Hancheng mining area as the research object, forming a technological system for advanced extraction of broken-soft and low-permeability coal seams with directional long boreholes.


    Since 2018, the technological achievements have been applied in three mines including Wangfeng Mine, Sangshuping No.


    The industry believes that this complete set of technology is beneficial to improve the level of gas prevention and control, reduce gas emissions, and achieve safe and green mining of coal mines, and has a wide range of application prospects
