INVISTA doubles production capacity of nylon 66 base

and Shanghai Chemical Industry Park signed a memorandum of cooperation, announcing the acceleration of the plan to double the production capacity of nylon 66 polymer production base

After increasing its annual polymer production capacity by 40,000 tons last year, INVISTA plans to invest 1.
5 billion yuan (approximately US$230 million) to double the total production capacity of its nylon 66 polymer production base to 400,000 tons
.

Pete Brown, executive vice president of INVISTA’s nylon polymer business, said that through this expansion plan, INVISTA hopes that the new capacity will support the development of engineering plastics, industrial uses and apparel industries and other major applications, and meet the needs of downstream applications.
