    According to Iran's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA), the first 10-megawatt solar power plant
    will be built in the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan.

    Iran's energy minister also said that at present, the country's installed renewable energy capacity is 527 megawatts, and by the end of March this year, it will reach 1 GW
    .

    He added that it is planned to increase the capacity of these power plants to 4GW
    by the end of the 12th government (2021).

    The Islamic Republic of Iran Veterans Center also held the opening ceremony
    of a 20kW rooftop solar power plant.

    In July last year, Iran's national news portal IRNA said an Italian company planned to build a 100MW solar power plant
    in Hormozgan province.
