BASF offers polyamide solutions based on renewable raw materials for the fashion industry

BASF launches Ultramid high-performance polyamides
based on renewable raw materials for the textile industry.

In the production of Ultramid polyamide, BASF uses the mass balance method as an innovative way to replace all fossil raw materials with certified renewable raw materials and maintain the excellent properties of
the product.

With the mass balance method, renewable raw materials can replace fossil raw materials
at the beginning of production at BASF's existing Verbund plant.
Bio-based raw materials are assigned to selected products such as Ultramid?, and since the formulation remains unchanged, their quality is exactly the same
as that of products using fossil raw materials.
The independent certification of T-V S-D confirms that the product is manufactured using a specified amount of renewable raw materials
