Trinseo completes the acquisition of Arkema's PMMA business

On May 3, Arkema announced the completion of the sale
of its polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) business to Trinseo.

It is understood that on December 14, 2020, the two parties announced that Shengxiao acquired Arkema's PMMA business for 1.
137 billion euros (about 8.
8 billion yuan), and the divestiture of Arkema's business involved 860 employees and 7 production sites (4 in Europe and 3 in North America).

According to Arkema, the divestiture of the business represents another big step in its transformation towards the ambitious goal
of becoming a sustainable and innovative producer of pure-play specialty materials by 2024.
Focus on three complementary businesses
: adhesive solutions, advanced materials and coating solutions.
