    Combustible ice laboratory settled in Qingdao

    Recently, the natural gas hydrate (combustible ice) simulation laboratory of Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology officially started construction in the core area of Qingdao Blue Silicon Valley, in order to build a world-class natural gas hydrate laboratory and provide a strong guarantee
    for the further exploration and development of China's strategic new energy.

    The laboratory includes natural gas hydrate exploration simulation laboratory and natural gas hydrate development and utilization laboratory, covering an area of 20 acres in the first phase and a construction area of 5037 square meters
    .
    The laboratory's "unique activity" is to detect whether the drill sample is combustible ice and determine its molecular structure, while solving the key technologies and related theories
    of combustible ice exploration and development.

    Lu Jing, director of the Eastern Base Construction Office of Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology, said that as a base camp for investigation, research and development of new energy, the construction of the natural gas hydrate simulation laboratory in Blue Silicon Valley will further enhance China's overall strength in the field of combustible ice research and strive for the right
