ExxonMobil's two 650,000-tonne polyethylene production lines at
ExxonMobile's plastics plant in Montbelleville, Texas
, have reached mechanical completion.
The company expects to start production
in the third quarter.
As part of a previously announced multibillion-dollar capacity expansion project in Bay City, Texas, the two polyethylene lines will process ethylene feedstock
from the 1.
5 million tons of ethylene cracker currently being built at the Bay City facility.

Neil Chapman, chairman of ExxonMobil Chemical Company, said the two lines will double the plant's polyethylene capacity, making it one of
the largest polyethylene plants in the world.
