SGL Group Completes Divestiture of Energy Efficiency Products Business UnitBased on the fact that the fundamentals of the graphite electrode market have changed, SGL Group initiated the divestiture process in July 2015 and recently completed the legal divestiture
of the Energy Efficiency Products Business Unit (PP), which was originally scheduled to be completed
by the end of 2016.

SGL Group CEO Dr.
Jürgen Köhler said: "This is a milestone
in our strategic restructuring.
We successfully completed the legal divestiture of the Energy Efficiency Products business unit within SGL Group well ahead of schedule

In this way, we have laid the foundation for
further research on strategic options for the company.
In
addition, the company has adapted its business model and capacity for energy-efficient products to new market conditions
.
SGL Group's strategic restructuring, launched last year, is focused on two business units, Fibers & Composites (CFM) and Graphite Materials & Systems (GMS).

According to the company's plan, sales of the two divisions will increase by more than 50 percent to around
EUR 1.
1 billion by 2020.
