    Recently, the team of Professor Lin Jiaping of East China University of Science and Technology has made a breakthrough in the design method of high-temperature resistant resin, established a material genome method suitable for high-performance polymer design, accelerated the research and development rate of resin, and is expected to change the traditional material design method
    based on trial and error.

    The genetic engineering methods of materials developed in this research work include gene definition, collection and combination, performance prediction, structure screening, and performance verification

    Through the above steps, the researchers successfully designed and obtained a new type of high-temperature resistant resin, with a 5% thermal decomposition temperature greater than 650 °C and a curing temperature of less than 250 °C, which is expected to be used at 600 °C for a short time and meet the demand
    for high-temperature resistant resins in the aerospace field.
