WACKER plans to build a new biotechnology center in Munich

On June 27, Wacker concentrated its biotechnology research efforts in Munich and invested tens of millions of euros in the construction of a biotechnology center, which is expected to open
in 2024.
WACKER is investing in the strengthening of its biotechnology business
.

The WACKER Biotechnology Center, located in Munich's WACKER Electrochemical Industry Alliance, will provide workplaces
for around 90 employees.
Its laboratories and experimental plants will be spread over three floors with an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, and research will focus on the production of biologics mainly for advanced therapeutic medical products (ATMP) and fermentation production processes
for food and nutritional supplement ingredients.
