Swedish silica production capacity

On July 8, Nouryon announced its investment in the expansion of its Kromasil manufacturing facility in Bohus, Sweden, to meet the growing global demand
for high-performance solutions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The investment is expected to double the facility's existing capacity, which will strengthen Nolion's global leadership
in high-performance silica.
The program is expected to begin in
2022.

Kromasil products are used by the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, clinical and environmental industries for a variety of applications
, from laboratory analysis to industrial-scale purification.
Kromasil is an important component of islet purification, helping to improve the treatment of diabetes and can also be used in complex biopharmaceutical applications
