Sasol and Lotte Chemical will jointly carry out a battery materials project

Recently, Sasol Chemical Company, a subsidiary of SASOL, and Lotte Chemical of South Korea announced that they have agreed to conduct a pre-feasibility study
for a joint venture to build a battery-grade electrolyte solvent project.

The companies will evaluate the suitability of Sasol's sites in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Marr, Germany, and the new facilities will use raw materials provided by Sasol and third parties to produce a variety of battery-grade electrolyte solvents, as well as proprietary technology
from Rakuten and third-party licensors.
