DuPont and Dow are set to complete the merger on August 31 DuPont and Dow said recently that the peer-to-peer merger transaction between the two companies is scheduled to close
after the
market closes on August 31.
The combined entity, DowDuPont, will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol DWDP
on September 1.

The companies said they still expect the spin-off
to take place within 18 months of the merger's completion.
Since the beginning of this year, DuPont shares have risen 11.
6%, Dow has risen 11.
9%, and the Dow Jones index has risen 11.
7%.
