BASF will build a new catalyst development and solids processing center

According to recent foreign media reports, BASF is strengthening its global catalyst development and helping customers bring new products to market
faster.
As part of this strategy, BASF is building a new pilot plant center at its Ludwigshafen site, which is scheduled to be completed by mid-2024
.
The new catalyst development and solids processing center will become a global hub for
pilot scale production and process innovation for chemical catalysts.

The new pilot plant helps chemical catalyst specialists convert lab formulations to production scale faster and produce sample quantities
of new catalysts at a technical scale with shorter lead times.
As a result, customers have faster access to new catalyst technologies – a key factor
in successfully bringing new products to market.
