Recently, the "TDI (toluene diisocyanate) process waste residue utilization technology development and industrial application" jointly developed by Cangzhou Fengyuan Environmental Protection Technology Co.
    , Ltd.
and Chongqing University passed the expert appraisal
    .
Experts unanimously believe that this technology is an innovative process technology that aims at the pollution problem of TDI production residue, catalytic hydrolysis of TDI waste residue to generate TDA (toluenediamine) monomer, which realizes resource recycling, and has obvious economic, social and environmental benefits
    .
At the same time, this technology has obtained Chinese invention patents and American invention patents
    .

TDI is one of the main raw materials of polyurethane plastics, which is widely used in the production of soft foams, elastomers, synthetic leather pastes, adhesives, coatings, fiber and leather fabric finishing agents, etc.
    , and is a high value-added product
    .
However, a certain amount of tar residue will be produced in the TDI production process, accounting for 2%~8% of the TDI production capacity, and the main component is polyisocyanate
    .
In the original design, the tar residue produced will be treated by incineration, but the tar residue will produce a large amount of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides and smoke during the combustion process, which will corrode the incinerator and flue, and cause harm
to the environment when discharged into the atmosphere.
The treatment of these waste gases will produce a large amount of wastewater, which will cause greater pollution
    to the environment.

How can the waste generated during TDI production no longer pollute the environment and be reused? Since 2008, Fengyuan Environmental Protection Company and Chongqing University have cooperated to develop a new technology
for TDI production waste residue pollution problem.
This new technology catalyzes the waste residue generated by Cangzhou Dahua TDI to generate TDA monomer, which is then reused
    .
In this way, it not only solves the problem of waste residue polluting the environment, but also realizes resource recycling and produces economic benefits
    .
In addition, the technology developed this time to handle the continuous reaction and separation of liquid-solid materials with high viscosity and high boiling point has realized industrial production
    of 10,000 tons.

The project can process at least 15,000 tons of TDI waste residue per year, reduce incineration by 10,000 tons, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 22,000 tons, and reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 7,000 tons
    .
The implementation of this project is not only conducive to alleviating the tight supply of domestic TDA products, but also promotes the pollution control of China's TDI production industry
    .
