uses Elastolit materials to build 60 communication towers, distributed in Beijing, Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Suzhou and other provinces and cities
Communication towers made of Elastolit® are lighter than conventional concrete or steel-based materials, can be installed quickly even in remote areas, and can withstand harsh weather
such as heavy snow and strong winds.
Elastolit® materials are rust and corrosion resistant, require less maintenance, and are made of communication towers that are more cost-effective
than conventional steel towers.
In addition to communication towers , Elastolit is also used to make telephone poles
Andy Postlethwaite, Senior Vice President, Performance Materials, BASF Asia Pacific, said: "5G base stations carry transmission equipment and antennas and must remain resilient
in adverse weather conditions.
The 35-meter-high communication tower made of BASF's PU composite material weighs approximately 1,500 to 1,800 kg and has a breaking strength ten times
its own weight.
