Mitsubishi Chemical Expands Lithium-ion Battery Electrolyte Production CapacityMitsubishi
Chemical, recently announced that it will increase the lithium-ion battery electrolyte production capacity of its Yokkaichi plant from the current 11,000 tons to 16,000 tons, in response to strong demand
for the product in the electric vehicle market.

Mitsubishi Chemical said that the current electric vehicle and hybrid vehicle market in Japan and abroad is expanding, and 25% of newly listed passenger cars in Japan are electric vehicles, and this proportion will increase.
Its lithium battery electrolyte products can maintain high power in low temperature environment, can inhibit the side reactions of the battery, can improve the durability and safety of the battery, and are widely used
in the markets of Japan, the United States and Europe.
