Clariant announces capacity expansion plan
for tube stoppers Clariant has announced plans to install a new six-color offset press
at its Romorantan plant.
The entire project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2017, when the plant's production capacity will be increased by about
30%.
The main purpose of this capacity expansion plan is to meet the growing market demand, especially from customers in the pharmaceutical and health products industry, and to provide global customers with more choices
in packaging design customization.

Clariant also has two production sites similar to the Romorentan plant, Belém, New Mexico, USA, and Changshu, China
.
Designed for global distribution, the product offers a wide range of tubes, including more than 40 tubes and 50 matching stoppers
.
As market demand is concentrated in Europe and North Africa, Clariant chose to focus its production in Europe in order to better serve
this important market.

The installation of the new equipment is already on track and is expected to bear fruit
by the end of October.
