Issue 20/2018 - Bio-based film-forming PU brings a new experience to hair

From October 10 to 12, Covestro unveiled Baycusan^®eco E 1000
, a film-forming polyurethane (PU) dispersion for hair styling, at the 64th European Detergents, Cosmetics, Perfumes and Ingredients (SEPAWA).

This product is partly derived from biomass and is recognized as a product
of naturally derived ingredients.
It can be used to make sprays and gels with high performance levels of synthetic acrylate polymers for formulations that require critical properties such as long-lasting styling and moisture resistance, providing good, long-lasting and flexible styling long-lasting hair while preventing frizz and frizz
