BASF's pesticide Inscalis® has been registered
by the U.
S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
This new insecticide can effectively meet farmers' demand
for new tools for pest control.
Inscalis® differs from conventional insecticides in that it works by interfering with the regulation of the insect's transient receptor channel complex of vanillic acid, thereby interfering with insect feeding and other behaviors, ultimately leading to death of insect starvation
.
Its unique formula guarantees efficient transport of active ingredients and even controls pests on the back of the leaves
.
Inscalis® can be used in cash crops, field crops and ornamental plants to effectively control sucking and sucking mouthparts pests such as aphids, whiteflies, psyllids, shellworms, mealybugs and leafhoppers, either through foliar treatment, seed treatment or soil treatment
.
The product is effective against both adults and larvae, but is more
effective with medication at the larval stage.
Inscalis® has a long potency period, for example, it has a long-lasting effect on aphids for up to 21 days
.
In addition, the insecticide is environmentally friendly, has low acute toxicity to beneficial arthropods such as pollinators, and has low toxicity to insect natural enemies, and is suitable for pest resistance management and integrated pest management
.
Christa Kirk, Technical Marketing Manager at BASF, said: "With the increasing variety and adaptability of stinging mouthparts pests, which seriously affect crop quality and yield, it is more
important than ever to develop new tools to meet farmers' control needs.
Inscalis® contains a new insecticide active ingredient, dipropicoxester, which works in a unique
way.
Farmers can choose from several Inscalis® formulation formulations to better control pests
as part of resistance and integrated pest management.
