Rutted asphalt mixture project passed acceptance
The research project on materials and properties of asphalt mixture based on rutting resistance undertaken by Guangxi Transportation Research Institute has recently passed the acceptance
of the project results organized by the Guangxi Department of Transportation.
The project is divided into three topics
: research on materials and properties of asphalt mixture based on rutting resistance, research on the application technology of asphalt (TLA) in Lake Trinidad, and research on the application technology of rubber powder composite modified asphalt 。 The project team developed rubber powder-PE composite modified asphalt technology, and proposed suitable matrix asphalt varieties and performance indicators for TLA, as well as a reasonable ratio of TLA modified asphalt.
Created key indicators and technical standards for quality control of rubber powder-PE composite modified asphalt and TLA modified asphalt; Guided by the strength theory of Moerculen, the mineral material gradation design and mixture design method of rutting-resistant asphalt mixture were proposed.
A complete set of construction technology and quality control methods and standards
for the design, production, transportation, paving and rolling of TLA modified asphalt mixtures have been established.
