SK intends to acquire Arkema's performance polymer business Recently, SK General Chemicals, a subsidiary of SK, said that it will acquire the functional polyolefin-related business

of Arkema, France.
The acquisition is scheduled to close in the second quarter of next year with a capital of 335 million euros
.

Through this acquisition, SK Chemicals will acquire the right to operate Arkema's three production facilities in France, four products: ethylene-acrylate copolymer, ethylene-propylene terpolymer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and maleic anhydride (MAH) grafted polymer, as well as related technology and personnel

Through this acquisition, the company plans to strengthen its competitiveness
in the packaging field by providing customers with targeted multi-solution solutions in the packaging field.
