Henan coal-chemicalized POM new products increase efficiency

A few days ago, the development and research project of POM automotive special materials jointly implemented by Henan Coal Chemical Group Research Institute and Beijing University of Chemical Technology has made new breakthroughs, and the toughened POM developed is about 3 times
more efficient than ordinary POM products.

POM is a kind of engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive performance, known as "steel" and "super steel" in foreign countries, and is one of the five general engineering plastics, which are widely used in electronics, machinery, instrumentation, daily light industry, automobiles, building materials, agriculture and other fields
.

The project of "development and research of polyoxymethylene automotive special materials" is one of the key projects that can be promoted and applied by Henan Coal Chemical Group Research Institute this year, and the main research content includes the development of 9 formulations and related processes for
strengthening POM, toughening POM, wear-resistant and weather-resistant POM.
At present, the project team has successfully developed 3 toughened POM formulas, successfully passed the pilot test verification in Kaifeng Longhua, has the conditions for industrial production, and has sold 9 tons of products, which is about 3 times
more efficient than ordinary POM products.
