    The European Chemicals Agency publishes the eleventh batch of substances of very high concern

    On 16 June 2014, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) officially published the 11th batch of 4 substances of very high concern (SVHC), bringing the SVHC list to 155 substances
    .
    The four substances are cadmium chloride, dihexyl phthalate, sodium perborate and sodium perborate hydrate
    .
    Among them, cadmium chloride is selected for its carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, reproductive toxicity, and substances of equal concern - which may cause serious harm to human health, while dihexyl phthalate, sodium perborate and sodium perborate hydrate are selected for reproductive toxicity
    .

    According to Article 7(2) of the REACH regulation, if the article contains a substance of very high concern and the content of the substance of very high concern in the article exceeds 1 tonne/year and the mass percentage concentration of the substance of very high concern in the article exceeds 0.
    1%, the manufacturer or importer shall notify the European Chemicals Agency in accordance with Article 7(4) of the regulation, and the content and format of the notification must comply with the relevant notification requirements
