    Solvay recently launched the latest product
    of the Solef PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) series at the 2015 China International Battery Exhibition.
    The new PVDF has been specially developed for battery separator coating for the production of high-energy, safe and environmentally friendly lithium-ion batteries
    for electric vehicles.

    The new Solef PVDF exhibits excellent cohesion within the ceramic coated particles, which is essential
    for the production of efficient, long-lasting high-energy batteries.
    In addition, it has good electrode lamination properties, helps to minimize the internal resistance of the separator, and exhibits excellent porosity forming ability, which is suitable for separators with high ionic conductivity in lithium-ion batteries, and can be used
    as the main component or as a separate coating layer.

    Solef?PVDF products can also be used in solventborne and water-soluble diaphragm coating processes, which can significantly improve the adhesion and cohesion of substrates and ceramic particles, ensuring the performance and safety
    of lithium-ion batteries even at higher temperatures.
