JXTG and Mitsubishi Chemical plan to form a joint venture
Recently, New Nippon Petroleum Corporation (JXTG) and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (Mitsubishi) announced that they have decided to form a joint venture at Kashima Industrial Park in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, to optimize the operation of
their refining and petrochemical production.
The joint venture will be formed in mid-November, with both companies holding 50 percent
shares.
The two companies will study how to further improve their competitiveness
by making effective use of gasoline and petrochemical production raw materials at Kashima Industrial Park.
