BASF has launched a new rheology modifier, Rheovis®HS 1181, which is mainly used to help improve high-PVC coatings

The product does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates and can completely replace ASE thickeners in high PVC coatings and can replace hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) to some extent, thereby reducing formulation costs
It also offers excellent paint stability, improved can opening appearance, significantly reduced paint spatter, and is ideal for thickeners in architectural coatings, as well as for industrial and wood coatings
