Covestro creates a plastics recycling value chain

Recently, Covestro and Xiaomi ecological chain enterprises Runmi Technology 90 and Nongfu Spring held a cooperation signing ceremony to jointly develop travel suitcases
containing post-consumer recycled polycarbonate materials.
Covestro modified and developed the post-consumer recycled Nongfu Spring Water Barrel into a high-performance recycled polycarbonate product, and provided Runmi Technology with 90 points to develop a new generation of low-carbon and environmentally friendly travel cases
.
The suitcase, which is scheduled to be launched next year, will provide consumers with more choices for
green and low-carbon travel.

According to reports, the recycled materials used in the shell of this new suitcase come from the waste Nongfu Spring Water Bucket
.
At the same time, Covestro adheres to a strict quality control system in the manufacturing process of post-consumer recycled materials, and has post-consumer recycling certificates
provided by authoritative third-party certification bodies.
Post-consumer recycled polycarbonate materials can significantly reduce carbon emissions
compared to virgin materials.
