    Xinjiang Institute of Physics and Chemical Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences has recently developed a series of polar photocatalytic materials with excellent dechlorination properties for the treatment of chlorophenolic compounds
    in industrial wastewater.

    Chlorophenols are widely used as preservatives, rust inhibitors, herbicides, fungicides and papermaking industries for wood with foul odor, odor and high toxicity, which is one of the main challenges currently facing the field of
    industrial wastewater treatment.
    Xinjiang Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has developed a series of polar photocatalytic materials with excellent dechlorination properties by using polar materials
    with built-in electric fields that can effectively separate photogenerated carriers under photoexcitation.
    Researchers first developed a B-O-based photocatalytic material K3B6O10Br with high dechlorination performance under the action of ultraviolet light, and found that the dechlorination rate of the material to chlorophenol pollutants is dozens of times that of commercial P25 dechlorination efficiency, which provides an important scientific basis
    for the preparation of new photocatalysts and the regulation of photocatalytic reactions in the future.
