New LDPE resins provide the perfect packaging solution
Dow Chemical (Dow) recently introduced AGILITYTM EC 7030 high-performance low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resin
.
The product was developed to meet and exceed the performance specifications of traditional autoclave LDPE resins and provide a long-term sustainable solution for aging LDPE autoclave equipment while enabling lightweight coatings and improved material utilization
.
The solution uses Dow's new patented tubular polymerization technology to meet the needs
of the Asia-Pacific region for the transition from autoclave to tubular processes.
The new products further enrich the AGILITYTM product portfolio for different speed extruders, such as snack packaging, small bags, composite hoses, paper cups, pharmaceutical packaging, liquid cartons, release paper, tarpaulins/fabrics and geomembranes
.

"Customers in Asia Pacific are looking for a resin solution
that minimizes waste due to 'necking' and 'edge scrap' while providing excellent bond strength and sealing properties," said Koda Xiao, director of marketing for the Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics business line Asia Pacific.
The AGILITYTM EC 7030 was developed
to meet these local requirements.
This product inherits the traditional advantages such as high melt strength of the AGILITYTM series and is very suitable for medium and low speed coaters
commonly found in the Asia-Pacific region.
