Eastman announced that it has partnered with NB Coatings to develop a new Class A spray surface solution
for automotive interiors based on TrēvaTM engineered bioplastics.
Recently, Eastman began producingTrēvaTM bio-based recyclables.
The bio-based content of TrēvaTM material is 42%~46%.
Thanks to carbon regeneration, the production ofTrēvaTM materials can continuously reduce waste and improve resource efficiency
In automotive applications, TrēvaTM material has good optical and birefringence properties, high transparency and strength, and is suitable for applications such as human-machine interface (HMI) lenses; TrēvaTM plastics can withstand adverse conditions such as heat, humidity, ultraviolet rays, scratches/damage and other adverse conditions in the interior environment to meet the general durability needs; Its low VOCs emissions are very suitable for the application requirements of vehicle interior components; Its good processing convenience and flowability also provide excellent dimensional stability, making it suitable for thin-walled designs
with low consumables and lightweight.
