New plastic additive plant

BASF announced today that it has technically completed
a new plant for its plastic additives business in Pontecchio Marconi, Italy.
The state-of-the-art plant will offer a wider range of NOR solutions to support BASF's leading position
in the strategically important and growing agricultural industry.

BASF's novel NOR technology platform consists of an excellent range of light and heat stabilizers that are particularly effective
in plastic cultivation applications such as greenhouse coverings, macro and small tunnels, mesh fabrics and matrix bags.
BASF's Pontecchio site is already the main manufacturer
of the hindered amine light stabilizers HALS and NOR?HALS product series.
It is also home
to a global testing center for agricultural applications and a regional weathering center.
The expansion project leverages the existing infrastructure and creates new opportunities to meet growing customer demand

The new plant is equipped with a recently developed digital technology platform that will provide innovative solutions and accelerate the site's move
towards Industry 4.
