The United States state of Maine prioritizes arsenic, cadmium and mercury as reported chemicals

On June 2, 2014, the U.
S.
state of Maine passed three proposals to designate arsenic, cadmium and mercury as priority chemicals, each in compliance with the requirements of Maine's Toxic Chemicals in Children's Products Act
.

Manufacturers and distributors who manufacture or distribute children's products intended for use by children under the age of 12 that contain these chemicals are required to report the relevant product information
to the Maine Environmental Protection Agency.
The product types involved include bedding, child care products, clothing, cosmetics, crafts, footwear, gaming supplies, jewelry and decorations, car seats, daily necessities, accessories, personal care products, and stationery and toys
