WACKER presents new high-index silicone for LEDsWACKER has developed new encapsulants LUMISIL® 590 and LUMISIL 591
for
light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and optical components.
Both products feature extremely transparent addition-cured silicone elastomers that are high refractive index (HRI) encapsulants
.
These products are particularly suitable for the manufacture of LEDs
with high luminous efficiency.
High-refractive index silicones protect LED chips from mechanical influences and corrosive gases
.
At the same time, due to the high refractive index of this silicone, the best luminous efficiency
is obtained.

These two new high-index silicones are easy to process, heat-resistant and absolutely dry-tack-free after curing, offer optimal flow characteristics and crosslinking properties, are efficient and cost-effective, and can form cured rubber products
of varying hardness.
