ON JANUARY 20, SPECIALTY CHEMICALS COMPANY LANXESS ANNOUNCED PLANS TO FURTHER EXPAND ITS CONSUMER PROTECTION BUSINESS
.
LANXESS has already launched exclusive negotiations
to acquire the Thoseo Group.
The French group, headquartered in Laval, is a leading provider of disinfection and hygiene solutions in Europe and Latin America, with products particularly suitable for disease control in the livestock sector
.
Following the transaction, LANXESS will significantly expand its product portfolio to address the growing animal health market and will also be able to offer products
to the animal nutrition industry in the future.

The parties expect the transaction to close
in mid-2021.
LANXESS plans to complete the acquisition
of the company with cash worth approximately EUR 70 million.
In 2020, Theso expects to generate sales of around EUR 33 million and EBITDA of around several million euros
.
Synergies are expected to provide additional annual contributions to EBITDA within three years of closing, and the acquisition is expected to be preliminated
in earnings per share (EPS) in the first fiscal year after closing.
