Issue 30, 2015 - The Key Laboratory of Seabed Mineral Resources was put into operation

The Key Laboratory of Seabed Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Land and Resources recently passed the acceptance of experts and was officially put into operation
.
One of the key tasks of the laboratory is to conduct research on seabed energy minerals, including deepwater oil and gas resource evaluation and prediction research, deepwater deep oil and gas accumulation enrichment characteristics, natural gas hydrate accumulation anomalies information and enrichment law research, etc
.

The laboratory was approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources in May 2012, and has undertaken 49 national science and technology projects so far, carried out the theoretical research on mineralization of seabed mineral resources such as natural gas hydrate, deepwater oil and gas and ocean minerals, and the research on marine exploration high technology and cutting-edge basic geology.
A number of innovative achievements
have been made in the development of the 4,500-meter-class deep-sea unmanned remote-operated submersible "Haima".
