Honeywell UOP's new filtration membrane modules support natural gas processing
Honeywell UOP today announced that its SeparexTM Flux+ membrane modules have been selected by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners to help increase natural gas processing capacity
at its Yates plant in Texas.
SeparexTM Flux+ membrane modules are a new generation of Separex membrane filtration systems that allow the necessary removal
of impurities such as acid gas and water contained in natural gas before it enters the network for use.
Compared with existing technologies, the module can help manufacturers process larger gas volumes, reducing operating costs and bringing higher revenue returns
.
It also increases the area removal rate of carbon dioxide at the same time, which in turn helps natural gas producers solve bottlenecks in downstream processing units
.
In addition, the compact layout of the membrane module unit makes it suitable for onshore or offshore installations with little or no auxiliary equipment
.
At the same time, it requires a very short start-up time and has a height adjustment capability
