Evonik successfully acquires
PeroxyChem On
February 3, Evonik announced that it successfully completed the acquisition
of PeroxyChem in the United States for $640 million.
Given the complementarity of the two companies' global operations, Evonik expects the combined company's global operations to generate synergies of $20 million, especially in
operations, logistics, portfolio expansion and new technology development.
These synergies will be fully realized
by the end of 2022.

Kuleman, Chairman of Evonik, said: "This result is gratifying for Evonik, as the court agreed in its judgment our view on the hydrogen peroxide market, in particular the advantages of
PeroxyChem products in the specialty application market.
This acquisition opens up more growth opportunities for us, especially in the
environmentally friendly disinfectant market.
