A*STAR and CimaNanoTech jointly develop a new generation of transparent conductive materials

Recently, the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) signed a cooperation agreement with the US multinational CimaNanoTech to jointly develop new sustainable nanomaterials that can be used as transparent conductive materials, their production processes and related production devices
    .
Transparent conductive materials can be used to make cheaper and more efficient electronic devices and organic solar cells
    .

According to the agreement, the two companies will cooperate in the development of new transparent conductive materials and related components
based on CimaNanoTech's SANTETM technology and IMRE's proprietary printed circuit technology.
Thanks to these innovative technologies, this conductive material will be both highly conductive and transparent
    .
In addition, the transparent material will overcome the limitations of traditional indium tin oxide (ITO) and transparent conductive oxide in terms of conductivity, flexibility and production cost, and is expected to be used in the production of low-cost, high-performance products for displays, organic solar cells and flexible electronic devices
    .

    Dr.
Zhang Jie, Chief Scientist of IMRE Printed Circuits, said that with this collaboration, the institute will work with CimaNanoTech to replace traditional ITO-based materials with new sustainable transparent conductive materials for application research and development
    .
