Celanese introduces medical-grade abrasion-resistant polymers

Celanese has announced the launch of the Hostaform, MT SlideXTM POM
, a wear-resistant modified line of medical engineering materials.

These new thermoplastic polymers enable extremely low coefficient of friction, wear and noise (sharpness) during operation of medical devices and eliminate external lubrication

Medical devices using these new materials operate smoothly and provide a high level of patient comfort and durability

The Hostaform?MT?SlideXTM POM is an ideal alternative to
a wide range of abrasion-resistant modified high-performance modified products.
Compared to alternative materials, the coefficient of friction of medical devices is extremely low
when used in combination with Celanese Medical Technology (MT) system service technology.
For complex equipment, this advantage breaks through design silos and simplifies material combinations, while avoiding the need for external lubrication during operation, thereby reducing costs
