    On December 9, the European Commission issued Circular G/TBT/EU/328 to amend Annex VI of the Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and to approve the use of titanium dioxide (nano) in cosmetics to filter ultraviolet rays to protect human health and safety
    .
    The deadline for comments on the communication is 60 days after issuance, the date of approval is the second quarter of 2016 and the effective date is 20 days
    after the issuance of the Official Journal of the European Union.
