Issue 5/2019 - Polyphenylsulfone materials are used in large-scale sterilization trays

Legacy Medical Solutions Resin Company recently launched a large-scale sterilization tray
made of Radel^®PPSU polyphenylsulfone material developed by Solvay for surgical instruments.
The tray consists of a Radel^®PPSU heat-formed transparent cover and an opaque chassis secured with a metal clamping device for excellent impact resistance, flexibility and chemical resistance

Radel^®PPSU has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and can be adapted to a variety of disinfection methods, including autoclaving, and is resistant to strong alkaline cleaning agents in repeated sterilization cycles and autoclavers; Even if it is sterilized at temperatures up to 138°C for a long time, its shape always maintains excellent toughness and aesthetics
