Supercritical CO2/PEG system prepared by chemistry

Recently, the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences studied the use of a special surfactant to prepare a thermodynamically stable supercritical carbon dioxide/polyethylene glycol (CO2/PEG) dispersion system
.
This dispersion system is composed of two green solvents, PEG and supercritical CO2, and has a wide range of application prospects
in the fields of material preparation, chemical reaction, extraction and separation.
According to reports, supercritical fluid, polyethylene glycol are green media with unique properties, if supercritical CO2 and PEG combined, will produce a dispersion system with many new characteristics, but due to the difference in the properties of the two, it was difficult to achieve stable dispersion
of PEG in supercritical CO2 before.
