of scientific and technological achievements organized by the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Department last week.
On the basis of thousand-ton technology, the 100,000 cubic meters melamine foam industrial production plant developed by the company in cooperation with Chengdu Yulong Chemical Co.
, Ltd.
has been successfully started, and the melamine foam products produced have stable performance, and the main performance indicators have reached the indicators
of BASF's similar product Basotect.
This shows that the complete set of process technology has reached the international advanced level

According to reports, China's melamine production capacity has reached 2.
3 million tons, accounting for more than 50% of the world's total production capacity, but the operating rate is only about
50%.
By studying the factors affecting the structure and properties of melamine foam special resin, the researchers determined the influence of functional monomers and modified monomers on the structure of special resins and the relationship with foam properties, and the preferred blowing agent had excellent performance, environmental protection, and easy recycling, which solved the problem
of flammability and explosion when using pentane as a foaming agent 。 In addition, a special device for recycling the blowing agent from the exhaust gas and the discharge of the exhaust gas after treatment to meet the standard, as well as the microwave special foaming equipment matching the special resin and process of this project, formed a complete set of technologies from resin synthesis to foaming process and equipment with independent intellectual property rights, and completed a pilot study
of 1000 cubic meters.
On this basis, Chengdu Organic Chemistry and Yulong Chemical have realized the industrial production
of 100,000 cubic meters of melamine foam by optimizing the resin synthesis and foaming process.
