Shell has announced that its subsidiary, BG Great Britain Limited, has
reached an agreement with Palestine Investment Fund to sell all interests
in the Gaza Marine gas field licence off the coast of Palestine.
The company said it had transferred its interest to Palestine Investment Fund
after the sale and purchase agreement was signed.
Shell said this is part of a move to streamline and improve its portfolio, and by divesting its Gaza Marine license interest, the company will focus on developing its most competitive upstream business and building a world-class investment case
