to meet the urgent need
for protective equipment for healthcare workers in the fight against the global coronavirus pandemic.
Boeing partnered with Solvay because of its extensive experience
in advanced composites and adhesive products.

The thermoplastic film made from Solvay^{AjediumTM film} will be used by Boeing to produce face shields to protect medical staff from coronavirus

The film is made from Solvay's medical-grade Radel PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) or Udel^®PSU (polysulfone), two transparent specialty polymers that are widely used in medical devices
due to their excellent resistance to corrosive disinfectants and their suitability for a variety of sterilization methods.
