Asahi Kasei co-developed bio-based hexanediamine with Genomatica of the United States

Recently, Asahi Kasei Corporation of Japan (Asahi Kasei Corporation) of the United States entered into a strategic partnership
with Genomatica on the "bio-based hexamethylenediamine (HMD)" currently under development by Genomatica.

Through Genomatica's HMD technology, Asahi Kasei plans to pioneer the automotive and electronics industries in offering more sustainable plant-based HMDs for nylon 66 (PA66) and accelerate the achievement of its corporate sustainability goals

Asahi Kasei will prioritize early renewably sourced HMDs and test nylon applications, leveraging Asahi Kasei's extensive experience in successfully developing nylon applications to commercialize
bio-based PA66.
