    WACKER opens its new polysilicon production site in Charleston, Tennessee, USA
    , on
    April 18.
    With a total investment of USD 2.
    5 billion, the plant has a designed annual production capacity of 20,000 tons
    .
    So far, WACKER's new site has produced around 1,000 tons of polysilicon
    .
    In the coming months, WACKER will gradually increase its production load, expecting to reach full production
    capacity by the third quarter of 2016.
