Choroidal thickness (CT) has been evaluated as a sign of systemic inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
The study included 44 AS patients, aged 18-65 years, and calculated the correlation between CT and C-reactive protein (CRP) and disease activity index.
The results showed that the average CT value at baseline was significantly higher than that after 6 months of treatment (baseline: 355.
In summary, the results of the study showed that the choroidal thickness of all treatment groups decreased significantly after 6 months of biotherapy.
