    Functional constipation in children is a common problem worldwide, facing embarrassing symptoms, including abdominal pain, painful defecation, stool and fecal incontinence.

    During the study, primary care doctors recruited children diagnosed with functional constipation ( n = 234 ), and pediatricians recruited newly referred children diagnosed with functional constipation ( n = 11 ), followed up for 8 months.
